“The secret of living a life of excellence is merely a matter of thinking thoughts of excellence.” —Charles Swindoll
Think of what the highest vision of yourself would be. When picturing your highest vision of yourself stop and ask, “Is this thought in alignment with my highest vision of myself?” If not, then change the thought.
“Daily we must train our thoughts to see only what we wish to experience; and since we are growing into what we are
mentally dwelling upon, we should put all small and in significant thoughts and ideals out of our thinking and see things in a larger way.”
—Ernest Holmes
“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” —Matthew 12:37 KJV
Tag yourself a winner. Several years ago I got a personalized license plate for my car that said, “WINNER.” I had no idea at the time the kind of impact that tag would have on my life. I found out that with a tag on your car that says WINNER, you could no longer do the things you have been used to doing. You cannot pull out in front of people and cut them off (not that I would ever do that!). And why not? Would a WINNER do that? No, only a loser would do that. Would a WINNER honk at people who cut them off, or who pull away too slowly from a red light? No, a WINNER would never do that, only a loser would. Would a WINNER drive a dirty car? Sorry, only a loser would drive a dirty car. I had tagged myself a WINNER and suddenly my actions had to change in order to back up what I was saying about myself. I became more of a winner in life simply because I had pro¬claimed to all who saw me that I was a winner.
Call yourself something and you will become that something. Call yourself a winner and you become more of a winner. Call your¬self broke, stupid, unable—live a life full of can’ts, won’ts, should have’s, would have’s, I wish I had’s and if only’s, and see what you be¬come. I bet you will not be happy with the results.
